When the State arrays all of its power against an individual, my role is to even the playing field and balance the power to ensure that person's rights are protected. Similarly, when a vindictive spouse or former spouse threatens court action, the accused is entitled to an advocate to walk with him/her through the maze of court proceedings feeling assured that their rights are being safeguarded by an attorney who has made their interest his own.
